Platform Smart Update - September 2023
September marks the start of our new financial year, our ninth-year trading as an organisation and we have seen another year of substantial growth within the business in almost all clients and sectors.
First and foremost, Platform Smart hopes that everyone has had a fantastic summer. We have had a mixture of extreme heat, rain, storms, and everything in between! We have also seen the impact of climate change with various wildfires, floods and earthquakes across Europe and the US and our thoughts go to those who have lost their lives or been impacted by this. Climate change and sustainability is something we take very seriously at Platform Smart, and we are determined not only to minimise the impact of our footprint but to go above and beyond this and become ‘climate positive’ in 2023, as evidence has shown that just striving to be climate neutral is not enough!
September marks the start of our new financial year, our ninth-year trading as an organisation and we have seen another year of substantial growth within the business in almost all clients and sectors. In particular, it is refreshing to see the Aviation industry, including airports, airlines, and the supporting eco-system, is almost back to pre-pandemic levels. Whilst our clients in this sector remain cautious about spend there is certainly more activity than in previous years and the level of technology change and investment is increasing to further improve passenger experience, safety, and drive efficiencies through their businesses. Outside of Aviation we have seen growth in almost all other sectors and have started working with some fantastic new clients such as National Grid, IVC Evidensia and Pret A Manger. We have ongoing discussions with a number of potential new clients and look forward to sharing details of these with you all as they unfold; one in particular is going through the final stages of procurement approval and we will then be mobilising a team on an exciting and significant programme.
We have already started the financial year strong and over the course of the year will be looking to further increase our team here at Platform Smart. We will be looking to expand our back-office teams as well as add additional Managing Consultants, so if you are, or know anyone, who is at the top of their game, has a real passion for technology change that makes a real difference and puts clients at the forefront of everything they do then please get in touch!
