Mid Financial Year Update - 2025
It seems that 2025 is going by very quickly and, in the blink of an eye, the sun is shining, daffodils are out, leaves are starting to show themselves and we find ourselves halfway through our current financial year.
We started the financial year in a very strong position, both from a revenue and client perspective, and we are slightly ahead of the budget we set ourselves, which was an increase on the previous year. This is great news and something we are all very proud of. It is a direct result of the hard work and efforts put in by both the internal teams and our Associates alike.
Although the market remains challenging, the remainder of the financial year has a positive outlook, and we hope this trend in performance continues. We are already seeing signs of this with the acquisition of new clients such as Suez, as well as the ongoing and new conversations we are actively having with potential target clients. We have several high-profile and exciting conversations taking place as I write, and we hope to be able to share some great news shortly.
Outside of business performance and client development, we have placed a lot of focus on back office supporting systems and processes. Following the successful implementation of our new ERP (CMAP) system last year, our attention turned to further strengthening our cyber posture and gaining a number of accreditations. We are excited to announce that Platform Smart has now gained Cyber Essentials certification and is progressing towards obtaining ISO 27001. These, coupled with the successful renewal of our existing ISO 9001 certification, demonstrate our commitment to running the business efficiently and in line with industry best practice.
We have recently further strengthened our team with the addition of a new Managing Consultant, David Elliott, who joins us on 1st May 2025. The Platform Smart team has known and worked with David for over 15 years across a variety of clients including Heathrow and Cohesive. There is a more detailed update in this newsletter, so please read on and join me in welcoming David to the team.
As the days grow warmer and stay lighter for longer, I hope you all get to enjoy the spring and summer months ahead, making the most of the sunshine and time with family and friends.
